The Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery (JBJS), one of the most prestigious orthopedic surgery journals, recently published a blinded, randomized clinical trial demonstrating that hospital garment selection impacts patient perception, satisfaction, loyalty, and referral to the hospital facility.


The study involved 200 orthopedic surgery patients who were divided into two groups. One group was provided with the standard patient gown, while the other group was provided with the COVR garment along with the gown.

Overall, the study’s key findings concluded that COVR garments improved patient satisfaction, comfort, and perception of privacy during medical procedures. It also contributed to a more positive healthcare experience, and increased patient loyalty and referral rates.
