Superior Robotic Device for Body Contouring

Although robotics and automation have made headway in many areas of medicine, human aesthetics is one area that has not yet benefitted significantly from these technological advancements. However, Dominion Aesthetic Technologies, a laser medical device company, is turning the tables. The company has developed a robotic body contouring device called EON, which is uniquely positioned to facilitate complete abdominal fat reduction. Although EON improves patient outcomes significantly, the robotic laser device is not a complete replacement for surgeons. In fact, EON assists physicians in delivering effective, consistent and safe treatment for patients.

EON is the first robotic touch-less laser technology used for body contouring, and is unique in its operation. The robotic laser device never touches the body of the patient during the session. Instead, EON uses its robotic arm to deliver laser energy and cool air simultaneously during treatment. “The robotic arm moves continuously to deliver effective, efficient, and more comfortable therapy,” mentions Bloomgren.

In order to kick-start the treatment procedure, EON scans and maps the patient’s topography and delivers a personalized treatment, which is achieved via a series of sensors.

These sensors also perform multiple functions such as real-time monitoring of the patients’ positioning, contours, and temperature. More importantly, as these sensors monitor various parameters, they play a major role in ensuring safety.

Dominion Aesthetic Technologies has designed EON in a highly userfriendly manner. As the device consists of a touchpad user interface, operators can effortlessly work with the device. However, the company provides some basic training to operators before installing the device in a care facility. The company also conducts an onsite certification program to walk the operators through the functionalities of the device. Once the operator aims the device at the target area, the device generates the corresponding test scan. Subsequently, the medical provider assesses this result and gives their approval for initiating the treatment. And since EON is a connected device, the company continuously monitors the machine to identify and proactively address potential issues. The company’s support team also upgrades the device remotely and sends the latest enhancements based on customer feedback.

In one instance, Dominion Aesthetic Technologies collaborated with a cosmetic surgeon based out of Tennessee. The surgeon used a traditional Cryolipolysis technology, a non-surgical fat reduction procedure, and he wanted to switch to a new technology. However, he was not satisfied with any of the machines used for noninvasive body contouring because of the poor outcomes. After thorough research, he chose EON and set up the device in his care facility. The physician began receiving a lot of positive feedback from his patients right off the bat. In addition to providing superior comfort, he also observed that EON reduced post-treatment effects significantly.
