Encapsulation: Physicians are developing the ability to deliver mRNA vaccines. It is necessary to encapsulate vaccine molecules in lipid nanoparticles to shield them from destructive enzymes. The vaccine is protected, so it survives the delivery route by escaping the endosome and realizing its therapeutic effect.
Trojan horse: Researchers are looking into other functions of the concept of encapsulation. Research is studying the utility of conjugated peptide coacervates, protein-based microdroplets, as intracellular delivery vehicles for macromolecular therapeutics.
