Vertebral body replacement (VBR) devices are used for vertebral insertion to help stabilize and correct the surgical spinal cord. This device is designed to replace and restore the height of part or total vertebral body, specifically that portion of the vertebra weighing or removing for the treatment of tumors. The introduction of new generation vertebral body replacement devices based on expandable implant technology is projected to boost market growth in the coming years for vertebral body replacement devices.

Ulrich Medical USA offers systems for spinal implants, diagnostic imaging, surgical instruments, and devices for hospitals. For complex spine applications, the company has recently introduced a new generation vertebral body replacement device, Solidity. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the Solidity Vertebral Body Replacement (VBR) device. Solidity VBR, part of the company’s pristine portfolio of spine implants, was developed for the surgical reconstruction of spine defects. The new implant features the main centerpiece with 625 unique end cap configurations in one optimized set.
A range of implants can be used to match unique patient anatomy with the support of a few simple-to-use instruments and to restore height and sagittal balance for spinal correction. Solidity VBR's design allows attaching end caps to the centerpiece in a full 360° orientation. This allows maximizing the range of device access to support any surgical approach. Solidity is designed to provide maximum access to the device to support any surgical method. The device also allows a construct to be revised and fine-tuned to fit patient anatomy.

Vertebral body replacement solidity device expands the company's portfolio of spinal implants, which includes expandable VBRs, interbody cages, rod-screw systems, and plates. Solidity provides an excellent number of options for surgeons to accommodate all surgical approaches and indications of replacement of the vertebral body, including trauma, tumor, and deformity while addressing the subtleties of the unique anatomy of each patient. Furthermore, this device’s surgeon application is secure and straightforward, allowing complete assembly and disassembly of the implant and end caps during surgery for easy reconfiguration.
