FREMONT, CA: Biocoat, a specialty manufacturer of hydrophilic biomaterial coating for medical devices, recently launched an ISO-certified, full-service on-site facility for the application of HYDAK coatings for the unique medical devices of their customers. Before the establishment of the new facility, Biocoat offered biocoating services at the respective facilities of its customers or recommended a third-party vendor if necessary. The new facility will be equipped with specialized personnel trained to handle the coating process efficiently. It will enable medical device companies to save time, as well as money.

Biocoat specializes in the development and licensing of biomaterial coatings for medical devices. Its services are custom engineered to meet specific clinical parameters. It supplies lubricous hydrophilic coatings for medical devices to original equipment manufacturers and contract manufacturers. Biocoat also offers coating services to aspiring medical device companies requiring assistance with manufacturing.
The design and management of the new unit is led by Thomas Brugnoli, Senior Director of Operations at Biocoat.
