Foldax names Gregory D. Casciaro as the new CEO.

His strategic guidance and leadership helped many of them sometimes navigate complex paths to market and resulted in successful acquisitions by industry leaders," says Ken Charhut, Executive Chairman of the Board for Foldax. Foldax appointed medtech industry veteran Gregory D. Casciaro as the firm's CEO, effective yesterday. In his more than three decades of knowledge in the medical technology industry, Mr. Casciaro has led and grown private and public firms from clinical to commercial phases and from financing to acquisitions. As an experienced board member and counselor, he also offers the organization insightful strategic knowledge.

“We are delighted that Greg is joining us as we execute on our mission to bring a transformational heart valve platform to clinics and patients around the world,” adds Charhut.
As president and chief executive officer of Access Closure, General Surgical Innovations, Orquest, and XTNT, he oversaw the acquisitions of all four firms by Cardinal Health, U.S. Surgical (now Medtronic), Johnson & Johnson (J&J), and Biosensors International, respectively. In addition to operating as President and CEO of Cardiac Dimensions, he has held executive and management positions at Guidant's Devices for Vascular Intervention and North American Instrument Corp. He sits on the board of directors for Colospan, Cytokind, Tulavi Therapeutics, and KL Acquisition Corp. He has previously been on the boards of directors for AngioDynamics, Apama Medical, Dextera Surgical, Kerberos Proximal Solutions, and QT Vascular. Additionally, he has worked as a strategic advisor for RenalPro.
