FREMONT, CA: Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX) has launched its new Vendormate Kiosk. "COVID-19 has elevated credentialing and badging to a strategic imperative, including a new focus on the part of compliance and security personnel as well as the C-suite," said Chrystie Leonard, general manager GHXs Vendormate business unit. "GHXs expertise in infection control protocols and vendor management allowed us to expand the capabilities of our Vendormate solutions to support COVID-19 protocols in this new Kiosk. Our customers benefit from a single solution that allows faster, safer access, and helps create trusted connections among the industrys largest network of providers and vendors."
The Vendormate Kiosk enables faster, more efficient contact-free check-in by:
Built-in COVID-19 safety practices, such as an integrated thermometer for a one-stop, safer access point.
Plug-and-play installation with remote Kiosk management to streamline monitoring and troubleshooting, allowing hospital staff to concentrate more on patient care.
A touchless kiosk is utilizing QR code technology.
Through the integrated mobile app, geo-location services sense when a vendor representative arrives and sends a reminder to check out.
Even after the pandemic is over, healthcare-associated infections will be a significant threat to health systems and their patients, affecting almost two million patients and costing US hospitals between $28 and $45 billion per year, according to CDC data. Vendormate Kiosk will soon add new Visitor Management features to offer a unified solution for vendor and visitor badging. This cloud software upgrade will be available in three modes: vendor management badging only, visitor management badging only, or combining the two.
Vendormate runs the industry's largest provider and supplier credentialing network, linking more than 180,000 representatives and 5,000 provider locations. Vendormate issues over 2.6 million badges each year, providing the company with valuable insights into efficiently addressing current patient and staff safety and security requirements.
