The report also focused on 10 AI applications with the potential of impact in medicine and analyzed the individual application to derive an associated estimated value. Researchers observed the impact of each application, chances of adoption, and value to the health economy. Here are the top 3 AI applications with largest value potential in the healthcare industry:
1. Robot-Assisted Surgery
Robotic surgeries promise minimal invasion, which means that the practitioners can replace large incisions with a series of quarter-inch incisions with the help of miniaturized surgical instruments.
Cognitive surgical robotics utilizes information from actual surgical experiences to enhance surgical techniques. Using such procedures, medical teams combine the data from pre-op medical records with real-time metrics to improve surgical aftermaths. The technique enhances the physician’s instrument precision and can decrease a patient’s length of hospital stay by 21 percent.
The da Vinci technique enables surgeons to perform a wide array of complex procedures with higher flexibility and control that attained via conventional means. 3. Administrative Workflow Assistance
