The wedge fixation systems will equip spinal treatment clinics with robust equipment to enhance their offerings and improve the patient experience.
FREMONT, CA – Spinal conditions are one of the most prevalent medical conditions in the United States. Many medical device companies are coming up with robust solutions to relieve the ailments of the patients, and Life Spine is one of the foremost among them. Based in Huntley, Illinois, Life Spine aims to enhance the quality of life for spinal patients by augmenting procedural efficiency and efficacy through innovative design, stringent quality standards, and advanced manufacturing platforms. It is focused on delivering innovative solutions to address spinal pathology from the occiput to the sacrum. Its extensive product portfolio is driven by patient and surgeon requirements and centers on the fusion and minimally invasive surgeries. It aims to enhance the quality of life for patients by improving the treatment procedures.
For many years, wedge systems have been leveraged to repair flat foot deformities. Since TARSA-LINK wedge is a novel system in the market with integrated fixation, the company has endorsed outcome studies to evaluate its capabilities.
The evaluation will enable Life Spine and Centric Medical to determine the safety and practicality of the TARSA-LINK. The TARSA-LINK Stand-Alone Wedge Fixation System is available in a range of footprints and is provided in Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) and Titanium. Unlike the conventional Evans and Cottons Osteotomy procedures, TARSA-LINK reduces site irritation and eliminates the need for supplemental fixation.
The industry’s first and only stand-alone wedge fixation system offers pre-sized implants, manufactured from PEEK, and designed for various procedures in the foot. The innovative design of TARSA-LINK provides a simplified approach for lateral column lengthening and plantar flexion opening wedge osteotomies of the medial cuneiform.
The stand-along wedge design offers integrated screws to hold the implant in place and ensure a stable environment for fusion. Since the PEEK material utilized in the product is radiolucent, it allows fusion assessment. It provides open, graft windows for optimal visibility and bone graft containment.
