FREMONT, CA: Microban International and Scapa Industrial reintroduce Scapa Pro Trim Tack® Sticky Mats and Sticky Rollers, which now have built-in antimicrobial protection. This improvement ensures that these items will remain cleaner for more extended periods and will be more resistant to the growth of bacteria, mold, and fungus, providing customers with increased peace of mind.

Microban® technology is incorporated into the production process and forms a permanent part of the product's structure, ensuring that it remains active 24 hours a day and will not wash away, wear away, or fade over time. This antimicrobial product protection inhibits each microbe's ability to grow and reproduce, assisting the product in combating the deteriorating impacts of microbial activity.
In hospitals, labs, and cleanroom entries, sticky mats and rollers are frequently used to clean anything from floors and walls to tabletops and cabinets. Bacteria can be a severe issue in these sensitive surroundings. Still, the combination of Scapa's Trim Track adhesive technology—which removes dirt, debris, and microbes from footwear and wheeled traffic—and Microban's antimicrobial technology will help keep these regions cleaner.
“Microban is extremely proud to partner with Scapa Industrial to enhance its range of sticky mats and rollers,” comments Eric Blaeser, Director of Business Development at Microban. “We understand the importance of cleanliness in critical environments and, by incorporating Microban technology into the mats and rollers, Scapa’s customers can now enjoy the added benefit of lasting product protection in these products.”
Tom Kubiseski, General Manager at Scapa North America Industrial, adds, “At Scapa, going beyond sufficiency has always been our goal. We are always looking for new innovations to advance our existing portfolio and anticipate the needs of our customers. We’ve partnered with Microban to offer this very important antimicrobial feature into our products to continue helping our customers to succeed in very dynamic markets.”
