The system instantly registers the change, updates the blueprint, provides information, and guides surgeons through the altered position of implants and screws, facilitating them to continue the surgery without delay.

This improves operative precision and greatly reduces the time required by currently available navigation systems for re-registering to adjust for movement of the patient anatomy in the operative field. In addition, the PathKeeper system’s tracking feature is radiation-free, reducing the cancer risk among patients and the healthcare staff in the operating room.

The system’s portable and compact nature enables surgeons to seamlessly integrate it into a surgical workflow. It can be conveniently positioned adjacent to healthcare professionals during complex spinal procedures, an advantage when assisting them in an operating room (OR) and an ambulatory surgery center (ASC).
