Her young cousin passed away from a heart attack caused by complications from pain medication taken for juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, and her husband, Ken, has been dealing with chronic back pain since a surfing accident in his twenties.

Leti and Ken understood the dilemma faced by individuals searching for pain relief. They also noticed a gap in the pain management market for a product that could provide relief without the harmful side effects of medications. After conducting extensive research, they developed Tendlite®, a handheld device that utilizes red LED light therapy to relieve pain. Tendlite® underwent rigorous testing by medical professionals, trainers, athletes, and individuals experiencing pain, and received FDA clearance in 2010.
